What is SCM?
Support Chain Management is a novel logistics
management service which provides the military operator with
guaranteed availability of complex mechanical, hydro-mechanical
and electro-mechanical items which require regular support activity
Through the establishment of true partnerships,
the repair and overhaul of activities and spares provisioning
of the existing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the
military third line maintenance bases are co-ordinated. Computer
links with the operator's main operating bases facilitate collection
and distribution to ensure that serviceable units are always available
in the right place at the right time. Above all, SCM ensures the

SCM - A Claverham team

Hydraulics Limited (now Claverham Limited) to radically improve
the availability of Tornado primary flight control actuators for
the UK's Royal Air Force.
